AI has become a race to the bottom for generic content. Using it as a creative partner that challenges your ideas is a much better approach to building something truly unique.
Great post. There's a number of things to consider. Maybe the primer is how much other writers/creators are asking AI to cater to whatever is trending.
If you can get past that the next hurdle is the temptation to sound like your favorite creator, or the one who appears to be commanding attention in your field.
After that comes making AI your creative partner and not a dispenser of the two I mentioned above, and that means getting comfortable with pushback.
Recently I participated in a 14-day AI sprint hosted by James that was a good head clearing exercise. I could feel the discomfort of AI asking questions that bothered me, but in going with it I gained clarity in purpose.
Another possibility is to run the same idea through a few AI systems, as Chat GPT seems to be getting a little ingratiating according to recent articles.
Thanks, Jay! Yeah, that's a great way to utilize AI, by using different LLMs like what Joel Salinas wrote about a few weeks ago. AI really does introduce you to a lot of potential challenges, I suppose it makes sense given that it's also a powerful tool. There's got to be some price to pay, haha

Great share.. I really like the prompt.
Yeah! It can be a race to the bottom, but for those who can use it properly, boy does it become a race to the top.
Thanks, appreciate the comment!
You truly amplify AI’s capabilities to your favor, unlike many who simply let AI amplify their work.
As we all should! Using AI this way should be best practice for everyone, not just creatives and builders.
Can’t agree more

Great point!
Yeah i think we need to be able to resist the easy way out and get more comfortable with the pushback.
It hurts our ego for sure but thats the only way to sharpen our thinking and get more clarity and generate more unique perspective from our contents.
Yes that's it! Humility is the way to freedom:)
Very well put!

Yes, and we're learning as we see the articles of people becoming a little too attached to AI 😬
While it's nice to be complimented, your recommendations totally hit the mark. As you alluded to, some of my best ideas have come from AI pushback.
We grow through pushback, but it's nice once in awhile to be complimented :)
Compliments are nice but they can be dangerous. We need to be able to sort our ego from what we need accomplished when dealing with AI.
But ... yeah... sure feels nice to be told that all my ideas are great. Hah!
