For sure. If you had the will to act on it, turn the chaos into opportunity.

I couldn’t agree more.

The friction and dissonance you feel…

are opportunity being created.

A timely and deeply resonant piece. Your call to double down on what makes us indisputably human is both strategic and soul-stirring. Especially appreciate the clarity around original thinking and presence as enduring differentiators.

Thank you! These are the things we should focus on, I believe that's what will get more scarce.

Great advice, James! What are the best ways for introvert writers to show their humanity (lol) which doesn't force them to do anything groupy?

😆😆😆The biggest thing is put 80% of your effort in engaging with peers and audience. That interaction goes a long way to humanizing you. If you're comfortable, post pictures of yourself from time to time. I myself struggle with this, but I think it's sound advice 😆

This was fun to read. I've watched videos about the dead internet also, which fascinates me. But I wonder why they call it dead, instead of taken over. I recently replied somewhere about what would happen if the thousands and millions of creators on the platforms started favoring their own content over curating for the algorithm.

Would the algorithm be able to keep with a wide disregard for what's trending?

Hah, interesting thought experiment. I think if everyone became a creator, and genuinely favor their own content, it would break the algorithm. Unfortunately, only a few people ever become creators, for some reason. We're only like 3% of the population, or something.

Unfortunately that is the case, and most creatures are following advice to favor the algo, even if the advice could be dodgy or completely made up😅

Yeah! Everyone loves "hack the algorithm" type of information. Never put much stock in that myself. It feels like a scam to me, much better to follow a few proven tips, and then experiment with everything else.

I feel similar about that, and in fact I think some so-called experts are faking their knowledge to leverage attention and sell a course on gumroad lol.

For sure. Lots of people are like that. Lots more fall for it, unfortunately

It's the new utopic dream, if all creators deliberately ignore the algorithm and create for their tribes. Let's see what happens. If feels like parts of the internet are tired of this algorithm chasing game.
